Sasha Owen, Owner/Executive Producer

Sasha began his career as a Sociologist, working with some of the country's largest foundations and philanthropic groups to research and fund a variety of initiatives to combat homelessness, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence and drug abuse. Sasha saw then the potential of documentary film to educate audiences and have a direct impact on a variety of social issues.

Sasha has been involved in business, media, IT, and video production for over 15 years. He brings a broad range of direct, hands-on experience and management skills to every project including social research, writing, producing, video production management, IT management, and web production.

Sasha has been described as visionary in his approach, and is an entrepreneurial and strategic thinker. He is able to analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources, helping clients to create innovative strategies and build their brands across multiple screens. As a co-founder and CTO of Texture Media, one of the country's most successful interactive agencies, and which was recently acquired by Crispin, Porter + Bogusky, Sasha was able to hone his technical, creative, entrepreneurial and tactical skills to help the company build its technology infrastructure while collaborating to build a successful advertising agency.

He is conversant in all levels of video production from concepting, scriptwriting, producing, videography, editing, graphic design, post-production management, and packaging. He has been a successful producer and consultant for 8 years, creating original series, corporate videos, event videos, and documentaries.

He also has strong technical skills with extensive information architecture, web development, and online design skills. He writes HTML/CSS from scratch and has taught intensive web development classes at the university level. He has also managed cross-functional teams, working as project manager on a variety of web-based software applications with teams based all over the world.
